I know I say this all the time but gosh where does the time go?! ! This past month has been alot of fun with Brentley Rae. She is now old enough where we can go and hang out without her sleeping all the time. We have really enjoyed going places and seeing lots of friends. The weather has begun to get a little warmer so I don't mind getting her out and about. The main thing that we have worked on this month is her PT exercises and getting her used to formula. She has done really well with the PT but switching to formula has been hard on her tummy. She hasn't been spitting up but she seems to get constipated. We go in a cycle, no bathroom for two or three days, then nothing lots and lots of poopy diapers. Any advice? I've been putting Karo syrup in the bottles after she doesn't go for 24 hrs but stop giving it after she goes. Do I need smaller doses in each bottle? I don't want her to have that much sugar in each bottle though.Weight 12.5
Eats 4 oz bottles every 2-3 hours
Eats breastmilk during the day and formula at night
She has begun to entertain herself through the day (whew!)
She loves her Baby Einstein movie~ she will sit in her chair and laugh and kick at that movie for the longest time. It's so funny
She still loves her bouncy seat
She watches us as we walk across the room
She looks to both sides great (thanks to PT)
She will respond to us by cooing and laughing when we are talking with her
She has been sleeping from 9-5:30 or 6:30 am! Yea!

Wyatt had the same problem when we were weaning off breast milk to formula. I put 1 ounce of apple juice in 3 different bottles, so if Brentley drinks 3 ounces of formula put 1 ounce of juice in with it. You have to keep it up everyday or it wont work. I did not like the Karo but the juice worked great. Limit her to only 3 ounces a day for now. The Gerber Apple juice is already diluted so it is natural juise and not extra sugar. It will work it you stick with it. Do it everyday even if she poops or she will get constipated again. We have also had to give Wyatt glycerin suppositories but only if we did not keep up with the juice. Let me know if it helps.
