Trip to the Beach

The first week of October Paul and I were able to get away and go to Destin for a week. I hate to let the secret out, but if you haven't been to Destin the early part of October you don't know what you are missing. There is perfect weather, no crowds on the beach or at the restaurants, beautiful warm water, no traffic on Hwy 98, no crowded malls and I could go on forever ( I do need to mention the rates are 1/3 of what they are in the summer, you know me always looking for a bargain). My grandmother rents a condo the entire month of October and everyone takes turns going down the entire month. Paul and I haven't been able to take advantage of the trip the last couple of years, but it was a great last child free trip (that sounds so weird). Paul and I had to work on my birthday so I decided I would choose another day in Destin to celebrate and we did! (He says I always extend my birthday no matter what!) My parents were there as well and we really don't get to see them often and we had alot of fun with them. (Another sign of getting older, having fun with your parents). Paul and I decided the Friday night before we were supposed to come home that we wanted to stay another day. The next crew of Momma Dot's friends were coming in on that Saturday so we ruined their party (3 wild women in their 70's, and we never heard so much gossip and laughing in our life) Here are some pictures from our vacation, I'm not sure why all of my pictures are so dark but I will work on that. No one liked me always wanting to take pictures but I was thinking of the blog! :)

Mom and I before dinner at BackporchMom, me and Momma Dot (3 1/2 generations)
Mom and Momma Dot (isn't she so cute) at Harbor Walk before Harry T's
Me and Paul at Harry T's

Mom and Mark after my "birthday" lunch at Margaritaville
Me and Paul at Jimmy Buffett's Me and Momma Dot
Mom, me and Mark before Louisana Laniappe

Me and Paul at the Crabtrap SUNRISE!!! Yes we were up leaving the last morning so we were able to see sunrise.

Courtney!! Boy its a small world. I was just looking at Jennisa's recent blog designs and found you! Barbara told me that you had a blog, but she didn't know what your address was. Hope things are great! Baby Rogers will be here soon, huh! I love the blog!

So I found you on Jennisa's recent blog designs as well, but I don't know you! I just wanted to say that your nursery is darling! I love the bright, happy green and the stripes! We have done both stripes and polka dots so I know how time consuming that all is!!

And the bedding?! The bumper pad looks scalloped! How cute is that?!!

Best of luck to you!!
