The Big News

Hello to all! This is my first time to actually set up a blog and I will try to be a faithful blogger. I have kept in touch with so many school friends through their blogs so now that Paul and I have something exciting (well at least we think it's exciting) to blog about I hope you will check in with our baby news.

I guess I will get this started by telling a little history. Paul and I decided to take the plung to get off the pill last spring (I will be honest, Paul was ready from the honeymoon! Yikes!) After a couple of months of getting the pills out of my system (yes, I read entirely too much on the internet) , the process started. As many of you know, I'm very controlling when it comes to planning and I want things to happen when I'm ready. Well, as we all know, it doesn't work that way! But, here we are ten months later and many "suprise ideas" out the door.

Paul and I (well I) took the test March 25th after work and of course I bought the off brand (note to self: It's worth buying the name brand on some things like this!) so we couldn't even tell what the symbol was. (I would say a mixture of pregnant and not pregnant) So I went and got another so I could take it first thing the next morning. And yes, here we are!

We went to the doctor on March 31st, they said I was six weeks and two days. My Dr. wanted me to come back on April 10th for an ultrasound. So after we heard the heartbeat we can FINALLY blab our news. For those of you I have been real short with (or haven't even talked to) over the past 2 weeks, now you know. Yes, I have already been told I've been an unsocialable rude woman. (Thanks to our neighbor Justin!)

So we went back yesterday morning for an ultrasound and we heard a really strong heartbeat. That was really neat. However they changed my due date from 11/21 to 12/3, so I'm actually only 6 weeks and 2 days as of today. So we are going backwards at this point. I'll soon post the ultrasound picture of the .5 cm baby!

So to answer everyone's soon to be question, "How do you feel?" Great! I've been great thus far, however Paul has been preparing hisself for what's to come. I'm really a sissy when I don't feel well. But I will be the best trooper that I can.

I will post pictures when I can figure it out. Anyone that know how to work this blog site, I'm open for some guidance.
